Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) - Learning curve on stress control

Eight-week group courses in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) which are being  offered all over the world.
Learning mindfulness has helped thousands of people all over the world to reduce stress, anxiety, depression, irritability, chronic pain, and to improve their overall health, well-being and functioning.
This mindfulness course was developed more than 30 years ago by Professor Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical Centre, has been widely researched and is being taught all over the world.

Mindfulness is about learning to be present without judgment to each new moment as it is happening: pleasurable moments, not-so-pleasurable moments and even downright painful ones.

When we consciously hold our attention in the present moment without judgment, we not only discover that there are a lot more enjoyable moments in life, but also that we are able to face difficult times with a wiser and more courageous heart, and respond consciously rather than react blindly to people or life events that upset us.
Mindfulness is a natural ability that we all have which can be cultivated through systematic practice.
The courses consist of weekly group sessions of 2.5 hours (short lectures, exercises, group discussions and meditation practice), a one-day retreat, and daily practice at home with the help of CDs and a course book.
