This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. What does it take to change and stay changed? Can life really be easy? John Strasser shares his unconventional approach to living.
As a Columbia University graduate student and former homeless addict, John Strasser personally understands change. After a multitude of tragedies, including the death of both his parents, John lived in and out of jails, mental institutions, and homeless shelters, until finding recovery at the Salvation Army. In 2012, Strasser earned a BA in Religion from the University of South Florida, graduating with a 4.0 GPA. Strasser won numerous scholarships in his time at USF, and was awarded one of the University's highest honors: The Golden Bull award.
